Water Shortage Response Plan

Water Restrictions are in effect each year from May 1 - October 31.

There are different stages in the Water Restrictions based on our current water supply. These restrictions apply only to the use of treated drinking water not to the use of rainwater, private well water or any forms of recycled water. For more information about Water Restrictions in your community review the City of Abbotsford's Waterworks and Rates Regulation Bylaw and the City of Mission's Water Bylaw.

Current Stage: Stage 3

Lawn Sprinkling

PROHIBITED
Lawn sprinkling is prohibited. Hand watering using a hose equipped with a spring loaded shut off device or container is acceptable.

New Lawns

PROHIBITED
No new Lawn Sprinkling Permits will be issued or renewed, existing permits will be honored until they expire.

Flower & Vegetable Gardens, Trees & Shrubs

RESTRICTED | SPRINKLERS ARE PROHIBITED
Watering using micro/drip irrigation, soaker hoses, hand-held container or spring loaded shut off device.

Filling Pools & Spas

PROHIBITED
All filling and refilling of pools, spas, or garden ponds is prohibited.

Impermeable Surface Washing

PROHIBITED
All forms of impermeable surface washing are prohibited unless required to comply with health and safety regulations or for painting preparation.
